Welcome to Bonnie Dee Designs!
I’m Siobhan, but my friends and family call me Bonnie. I make handmade jewellery, specialising in silver.
I love creating things, and silver is such a beautiful medium to work with. I tend not to begin with designs, but find a stone that I love, or something in nature that I’m inspired by, and kind of make it up as I go. This means that no two pieces of jewellery are the same, so the piece you choose is unique to you.
I am a biologist by training and started making wire jewellery as a hobby while at university. I then moved onto silversmithing at SquarePeg Studios in Marrickville, Sydney, where I was a student for two years.
I moved to regional NSW in 2017, and continue to make jewellery as I’m inspired – after visiting galleries, markets, or going on bushwalks, and in between working as a teacher and looking after my two young children!
I love the meditative and methodical nature of jewellery making; the attention to detail, and sharing beautiful, wearable art with others.
